Lack of exercise now causes as many deaths as smoking!
Yikes! That equates to more than 480,000 deaths/year! Here are a few key facts from the World Health Organization:
- Physical inactivity is one of the leading risk factors for death worldwide!
- Key risk factor for heart disease, cancer, and diabetes
- Globally, 1 in 4 adults are NOT active enough
- More than 80% of the world’s adolescent population is not active enough
Pretty sad facts. Let’s change them! Get to moving! Exercise can be any form of movement you enjoy. It doesn’t have to be done in a gym. There are so many ways to get active and actually enjoy it! Get creative!
