Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
Is there a more universally loved citrus than lemon?!
I honestly don’t think there is!
That’s why it’s no surprise that today is National Lemonade day!
That’s right. A day dedicated to the delightful sweet, lemony drink itself.
I can practically smell that sweet scent and picture that cheery fruit.
I’ve come up with a healthier version of this refreshing beverage so we can still enjoy, but not get loaded up on sugar.
I really keep sugar to a minimum in my household as much as I possibly can.
It’s the BEST way to cause inflammation in your body, which has been tied to EVERY disease and disorder known to man.
To make my healthy spin on this summer classic, you’ll need:
- 1 fl oz Pure aloe juice
- 2 tbsps Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tbsp organic Maple syrup
- 1 tsp Ginger (peeled and finely grated)
- 1 cup Water
Add all ingredients to a mason jar and shake vigorously.
Strain into a glass with ice and enjoy!
So to celebrate this delicious holiday I will be pouring myself a glass of this lemonade.
