If you like Pina Coladas….and gettin’ caught in the rain…

Is there a more delicious combo than pineapple and coconut?!

It takes me right back to relaxing and exploring in Maui my sophomore year in high school.

We did it all while we were there – a helicopter tour, scuba diving in the ocean, a fancy beachside luau and relaxing by the beach.

Any chance I got, I would order a pina colada they served in a fresh, hollowed out pineapple. Delish! You can’t beat pineapple from Hawaii.

What an amazing trip that was! I can remember my mom telling me for months after our return, “Kelly, you need to get un-Maui’d.”

Ha! Apparently, it had quite the relaxing impact on me and that is something I would gladly experience all over again whenever I can (even if it is just mentally!).

It’s always so interesting to me that something as simple as a taste can immediately take me back to a different time in my life. It’s like I’m watching a movie of myself from that time, just from a single taste!

Isn’t our brain incredible?!
