A study done by the University of Pennsylvania found that “mindset can be changed with just four days of training.” Here are some simple and natural ways to improve your mindset.

1) Attitude of Gratitude – Take time at night right before bed to write down what you are grateful for or think about 3 things that went well during the day.

2) Mindfulness Meditation – Mindfulness meditation has been proven to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, anger, confusion and fatigue.

3) Improve Brain Health – If your brain is lacking what it needs to focus at an optimal level, then getting your mind right is going to be challenged. When you focus on improving brain health, the mind will follow.

This last point is the key to everything mindset related.

Your brain is one of the most sensitive organs in your body and is influenced by everything you do, good or bad.

Of all the lifestyle variables, there are 2 that are critical for achieving optimal brain health:

1) Sleep – You need to get 7-8 uninterrupted, quality sleep every night.

2) Food – Carbohydrates are stressful to the brain. Eat a diet that is heavy in good fats, moderate in clean proteins and light in carbs (mostly from veggies).

When you improve your brain’s health, the mind will follow and every action step you’re taking to enhance mindset will be amplified.
